RN - Employee Health

The Employee Health RN provides superior patient/customer satisfaction, ensuring the highest quality care and service. Provides medical care/health education and guidance for hospital employees through a comprehensive program that includes first aid, care and assistance to employees who become ill or are injured as a result of work, manages hospital-wide immunizations/inoculations to prevent spread of communicable diseases, monitors employee health to protect patients and employees, prevent accidents and illness; ongoing health in-service, case manages Workers' Compensation claims, assuring cost-effective handling.



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provides professional nursing care within the assigned unit.
  • Coordinates care, planning, and implementation with other disciplines, for the adolescent, adult, and older adult (geriatric) patient.
  • Collects initial data systematically from available resources.
  • Performs an accurate physical assessment on admission and at specified intervals as necessary.
  • Performs a complete psychosocial, environmental, self care, educational and discharge planning assessment, n admission and at specified intervals.
  • When appropriate, data from the patient's' significant other(s) are included in the assessment and in the plan of care.


Qualifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN, Masters preferred​. 

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years in an acute care facility.

Req. Certification/Licensure: California RN License.
