Patient Access Rep Lead /Admitting Rep Lead

The Patient Access Representative Lead is responsible for the supervision of Patient Access Representatives/admitting representatives for their role with the guidance from the Patient Access Services management team to include orientation, training, scheduling, and insuring that the employees maintain established departmental standards. 



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Advanced Understanding of Compliance standards preferred.
  • Advanced Patient Liability Collection performance and high achievement in productivity.
  • Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands.
  • Must be crossed trained in all Patient Access service areas.
  • Uses proper negotiation techniques to professionally collect money owed by our Patients/Guarantors.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve patient relations and shorten the time it takes to handle registration processes.
  • The Patient Access Representative Lead is responsible for the supervision of Patient Access Representatives/admitting representatives for their role with the guidance from the Patient Access Services management team to include orientation, training, scheduling, and insuring that the employees maintain established departmental standards. 
  • Advance Customer service skills and experience. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.


Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience: Previous experience in acute care setting in insurance verification and admitting patients. This person should have at least five (5) years of patient access experience. Has full understanding of Medicare / Medi-cal, Managed Care plans. 

Req. Certification/Licensure: Current American Heart Association (BLS) Certification desired. CPI/MAB preferred.
